I thought I'd go through some of the email I've received and give you a chance to vent
some of that pent-up anger and frustration you've been holding inside the last couple of
months. I must admit that this time it was a hard decision as to which emails to share,
but I managed to narrow it down to a select few. If you don't see your email here then
all I can say is, 'Try again'.
Your 'isn't that song about' article with the INXS song being used for Maccas - I
also think it's ironic that a man who disliked corporations and over-commercialising
became a spokesman for an evil fast food company without knowing it!
There's more coming for those songs that don't quite fit the commercial.
Kudos on your article regarding the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and their
inconsistent nature of nomination inductees.
I agree with your opinions.
I have alot of problems when I see who IS in the Hall of Fame and look at who ISN'T in.
For example....Three Dog Night...record sales that dwarf 2/3s of those in the Hall.
Chicago...for God's sake how many bands have rivalled their output and how many of those
bands put out DOUBLE albums???
I think the members should be put into a small room and be forced to listen to Toni
Basil's 'Mickey' for 48 hours straight. They'd probably vote her into the Hall, though.
Not really a gripe, but I'd like you to know about Jim's lead guitarist, my brother
Maury. Hope you enjoy the website I put together in memory of him recently -
www.maurymuehleisen.com.
Thanks for believing.
Mary
Any die hard Croce fan should check out this website. Thanks for the link, Mary.
I really do enjoy your sense of humor, but as a family member of someone who perished
on September 11th, 2001, I would like to express my disappointment with your characterization
of Osama Bin Laden. The "little things" he does to upset the world are nothing to make a
joke out of, in my opinion. I am sorry for you that you find something funny about him....
Happy New Year to you...and, may this year bring some compassion to your heart.
I took a hit on this one. I do apologize for the 'faux pas' if I offended anyone.
I have the album to Crossroads which I bought the next day after watching the film
and it's the dog's bollocks.
p.s. Jim Croce is brill too!
Look for another musical review soon. Seems my daughter's have raided my old video
collection and found another one that they like to watch over and over and over...
Are you ever going to stop picking on Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera? I
don't think it's fair.
NO!!!
So who are you picking in the Super Bowl? I figure whoever it is I'll bet the
opposite. It has to almost be a lock for sure.
I actually had two of the four teams in the Conference finals...Carolina and Indianapolis.
However, my boss had all four teams going into the weekend. He's still alive with
New England. So we have a friendly wager going on and I'm going with the Cats.
My prediction: The Cats over the Pats by a field goal - in overtime.
Keep those emails coming...
