Comments, Please...
Just to let you know how fixed and all the YOUR BIG BREAK was...they had contestants
on there that sang professionally...and lied on what line of work they did. I know this to be
true, for a fact...I know one contestant personally. Thank you...just had to tell you that you
were right about the whole production that Dick Clark backed...
(And the next ringer, uh, contestant is...)
I am a country guitarist. I have worked with countless top acts the latest being Country
Singer Joe Nichols. The only problem I have is when the Record Labels place physical appearance
before talent. One example is Britney Spears. I'm not saying an Artist shouldn't be attractive,
it just shouldn't be so unbalanced. When I asked my step daughter why she listened to Britney
her reply was, 'Because she's so pretty.'
(Whatever happened to new and innovative?)
I have to agree with you on the small town newspaper thing. I really don't care what my neighbor
was arrested for a what the guy down the street was stopped for...unless he's a homicidal maniac
that doesn't like rock music...
(But that will only happen after watching a weekend marathon of 'The Osbournes')
What? No comments about the new slew of commercials featuring rock songs of the past and present?
(Saving it for the next time)
Why do I get the feeling that you're some middle-aged, overweight, opinionated ass**** who
has nothing to do with his time than make a mockery of today's music and singers? Get a life
already.
(Why do I get the feeling that you're some addle-minded teenager who wouldn't know
good music if it came up and slapped you in the face)
Hey, they passed over Jim Croce at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, again. Maybe you should
get on the election committee so those of us who loved his songwriting will have something
to cheer about.
(I guess we have to be content that he is in the Songwriter's Hall of Fame)
I guess you're right. The US is not ready for Canadian music right now. Too much diversity
for the simple minded listeners to absorb.
(Average US listener: It doesn't sound like every other singer or group. I can't deal with it.)
