Are You Too Young To Remember?
Have you ever said, 'I'll never raise my children the way my parents raised me?' or 'When I have children I'm gonna let them be free spirits...not restrained like I was."? Of course you have. We've all said it at one time or another. We've just forgotten. Until that fateful day when the past rears it's ugly head, slaps you in the face and you say, 'My God, I've become my mother (or father, depending on the gender). You're not alone. It's been going on for centuries. Just look at the previous century and everything will start to fall into place for grandparents, parents and future parents.
So the next time your child wants to dress, speak, think or express themselves in a way you disagree with...Stop, think and ask yourself one simple question...Was I any different than they are right now? If you answer no, let them express themselves.

Of course, if you answer yes...you're lying.
